AFCON 2015

Ghanaians are reluctant to forgive the Blackstars for the greed they so blatantly displayed  in Brazil during the 2014 World Cup.

Allafrica.com reports that rather than support the team they are tired of, citizens are gunning their support to the opposite side – the team the Blackstars are facing today in their 1st AFCON 2017 game, Uganda.

“Ghanaians will be supporting Uganda in Port Gentil. The people will be hoping that the team gets beaten” journalist Mac-Paradise Okocha told Daily Monitor on Monday.

Okocha added that: “Each player is taking $8000 for a win and that is a lot of money for a country that has many other issues of society to prioritise,”

The Cranes have players with lower profile but play very cynically, committed to raise the Ugandan flag high.
