English club Manchester United have overtaken Spanish giants Real Madrid to become the richest club in the world, according to the international financial organisation Deloitte.

With €689m  in revenue in 2016, United tops the list ahead of Barcelona, who have climbed into second and Real Madrid, dropping to third.

German giants Bayern Munich and Manchester City round up the top five, whilst Juventus is the only Italian side in the top 10, finishing 10th with year end revenues of €341.1m.
