It seems nothing Trump did during his inauguration was original to him. His inaugural speech has been accused of being plagiarised from fictional characters, the photo he posted on his official account of his inauguration was actually from one of Obama’s – and now even his inaugural cake is being accused of the same offence.
Celebrity chef Duff Goldman claims the inaugural cake used for Trump was plagiarised from one of his greatest creations – one he did for Obama’s inauguration in 2013.
Goldman took to Instagram to put forth the claim.
“The cake on the left is the one I made for President Obama’s inauguration four years ago. The one on the right is Trump’s. I didn’t make it.” Hoffman wrote on Instagram.
US Weekly documented the similarities between the cakes:
“Both cakes boast nine stacked tiers with a distinct red-and-white striped base, a presidential seal on the next layer up, and a light blue layer atop that boasting several silver medals. Additionally, both cakes are topped with silver stars and sparkles.”
