‘Inspector Bediako’ Actor – Oscar Provencal Throws His Hat Into The Ring For Deputy Creative Arts Minister

blankVeteran Ghanaian actor and beloved lead of the defunct ‘Inspector Bediako’ television series, Oscar Provencal, has thrown his hat into the running for the deputy minister for Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture.

Somewhat of a merry go round has developed over this position, as names from the entertainment sector are thrown into the fray almost every single day.

The initial frontrunner was Socrate Safo, but since then, names like Kojo Antwi and Abraham Ohene-Djan have popped up, and now it seems Oscar is also one of those names.

When Onua Fm called him to enquire about his name being proposed for the position, Provencal said he would be willing to work if given the role.

“This is a big decision in somebody’s life, one has to look at all the considerations, as a patriotic Ghanaian. If the president calls, whatever we can do we will do it, be it a role of a deputy minister, it can be considered”. He said.

He added: “It’s good to have somebody who is knowledgeable about the industry.”, but clarified that requirement can be waived if there is an outside person with the skillset for the role.
