Malawian Court Gives All Clear For Madonna To Adopt Twin Girls From The Country

A high court in Malawi has given Madonna the all clear to adopt two more children from the country, despite public uproar over the practice.

Madonna’s past adoptions pissed off local residents who felt the pop star was being given carte blanche to circumvent local laws banning foreigners from adopting.

According to MailOnline, Esther and Stella Mwale are the two children in question and they would be embarking on a flight on a private jet out of the country within the next 24 hours.

“Today the High Court made a ruling that she should go ahead and adopt the two children,” Mlenga Mvula, a spokesperson for Malawi’s judiciary said Tuesday.

He said Madonna was in court when the ruling was delivered.

The Mwale’s, twin girls, would be Madonna’s third and fourth adopted children from the country. She already has two, David and Mercy.
