Veteran Ghanaian football coach-Sam Arday has died after a short illness.

Sam Arday holds the title as the first black coach to win an Olympic medal in football when he led Ghana’s U23 team to pick bronze at the 1992 Games in Barcelona.

Apart from this, he also won the 1995 FIFA U17 World Cup winner in Ecuador–and has coached both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in Ghana.
