Rapper Yaa Pono and Shatta Wale have spectacularly been on each other’s back recently in the beef of the year so far, so you would expect them to completely diss each other when given the opportunity.

But Yaa Pono, in an interview with DJ Black, has admitted that he likes Shatta Wale’s songs! According to him, although he likes his music, he decided to take him on due to the lack of respect shown to him by the self proclaimed ‘dancehall king’

According to the ‘Gbee Naabu’ rapper, he only decided to take Shatta on because he did not grant him the necessary respect.

“There’s a lot of disrespect in the game that I don’t need to make it right.” he told DJ Black.

“I need to make mine on my path with my people right and I believe when it sounds good in the ears of the other people, everybody is going to follow because respect is the first thing in this world.”

“I recorded this song because, Shatta Wale did a live video calling me his boy and I’m never his boy and I can never be his boy but, I like his songs.” he added.
