So it seems Tonto Dikeh, who ran to the public a few weeks ago crying that her marriage has ended because her husband has been beating the hell out of her and all that–is not really innocent as she painted herself.
In a recent interview, Tonto Dikeh broke down in tears in a recent interview recounting the domestic violence she suffered during her marriage to ex-husband Oladunni Churchill.
Dikeh recounted one particular time in Ghana where she said her husband beat her and she had to seek refuge at the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana.
Crime officer at the Madina Divisional Polic Command, Superintendent Joseph Oppong, has contradicted this version of events.
The incident occurred in June 2015 and he claims Churchill was not even around at the time.
In an about 30 minutes long interview, Oppong said Tonto never went to the Nigerian Embassy naked as she claimed, but in fact, was arrested as she vandalised Churchill’s properties at his Trassaco home in Accra.
He added that Tonto’s now estranged husband-Churchill was the one who filed a complaint at the police station.
He also stated neighbours confirmed Tonto came in with a bottle of vodka around 3AM, most likely drunk, as she damaged properties worth $20,000, adding that she attested to doing this in her written statement.
