According to Agya Koo, the badmouthing is coming from NDC sympathizers because the same people speaking ill of this year’s drama never said anything about last year’s (59th Independence Day) drama which he also featured in. He lamented that the complaints are coming from those people because they are bitter he campaigned against them.

Speaking to CitiFmOnline, the actor said he birthed the concept of the drama, wrote the script and their target to preach the importance of girl child education was met so he sees no reason for the backlash.

“It is my own concept. I wrote it by myself. At least we had a very good message that we should try to send the girl-child to school and we achieved our aim,” he said. However, this makes a difference in both plays as this one was written by himself whilst last year’s own he was only invited to come and act as it the drama was put together by the late Professor Nii Yartey, Professor Martin Owusu and Gordon Kortey among others,

Talking about relevance and professionalism of the drama on the day, Alex Kofi Adu( Agya Koo) also said “We did not just wake up to do what we did. We had done a couple of rehearsals in the presence of some leaders of the country. If it was useless, they wouldn’t have allowed us to stage it,”

According to Agya Koo though the troupe faced some technical challenges during their performance they have also received worldwide congratulatory messages from countries like Holland and Germany.
