A stampede occurred on the campus of the University of Cape Coast Saturday that left some students injured after a scuffle reportedly broke out between Shatta Wale fans and Yaa Pono’s entourage.

Pono, one of the billed artists for the Valco Hall week celebrations, performed his Shatta Wale diss record ‘Gbee Naabu’, but apparently that did not sit well with some people in the crowd believed to be Shatta Wale fans.

According to the campus website UCC talks, this led to the altercation between those fans and the entourage of the artiste, which precipitated a stampede leaving some students injured.

“Some of the injured students are currently receiving treatment at the UCC hospital while others decided to treat their injuries at their various hostels.” the website wrote.

‘Gbee Naabu’ (to wit: dog mouth), is the diss record by Yaa Pono aimed at Shatta Wale. It was recorded as part of their recent beef and has become a crowd favourite. Pono recently released a video to accompany the single.
