Education is not the key to success in the life of Ghanaian singer Ebony as she says the ultimate aim for schooling is to gain knowledge and make wealth and she can acquire all that from her music so there wasn’t the need for her to sit in class.

The ‘Poison‘ dancehall singer who describes herself as a naturally bad girl is rumoured to have been expelled from school out of her disobedience and crave to be bad as much as she desires.

Reacting to the reason of being a High School dropout, zionfelix.net has reported the singer told MzGee of HitzFm that she willingly gave up on school to be a musician.

“Why do we go to school? We go to school to be intellectuals and also to get an income and music can equally do the same things for me. If I’ll be going back to school then I’ll continue what I already know but not for income because music is already doing that.

“I’ve never been dismissed from any school before. I was very stubborn but I was never sacked. I sat my dad down and told him this is what I wanted to do. I told him I want to do music and he understood me. He was like they have always known I was going to do music so they have no problem but I should promise them I will go back to school in future” Ebony said.

The ‘Kupe’ lightweight-hit maker was in her 2nd year in the Methodist Girls’ SHS before she dropped out.
