I left Ghana a few days ago and the heat is as usual painful, therefore, I ask myself, how do people like this contain the heat with their sort of event dressing?
One day, someone will pass out and die–mark this on the wall.
And Zynel Zuh and the rest sit on Instagram every day watching Hollywood stars like Lady GAGA pull that nonsense off, so they too are given Ghanaians their own version.
When anyone says Ghana is the place to be, it’s progressing and all that, I walk away. I am done with that sort of arguments. The mindset of the people remain the same, nothing still seems to work–and we all saw ingredients of that yesterday with the power situation at the VGMA.
Streaming online has become so cheap: the kids next door are constantly streaming online, even when they are pooping. Yet, VGMA online streaming was literally impossible by our big media and event houses, including Vodafone Ghana.
We have a long way to go as Ghanaians and I feel sorry for those who have no alternative, or nowhere to run to–and have not experienced anything else before, so they equate our mediocrity to progress.
The stage was a mess, the sound was a joke–and time was never of the essence.
I won’t waste my time to write a review on VGMA again, those concerned wouldn’t change what they dish out yearly.
We all saw the same what are you wearing red carpet with long useless talks by Elikem—but Ghanaians will say what he did was the best.
