Dr Mensa Otabil has congratulated the ultimate winner at the 2017 VGMA awards, Joe Mettle, on winning the biggest award in Ghana music.

Mettle made history Sunday morning when he became the first gospel act in history to win the Artiste of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The gospel act thanked God on social media for the massive win, with Mensa Otabil also congratulating with a tweet in reply.

“Congratulations! May the Lord continue to increase and expand your ministry. May you flourish on every side!” Otabil wrote.

Mettle’s win has been seen as a huge win for the Christian fraternity, with many casting it as the work of God.
