Stars New Coach Kwesi Appiah Meets President Nana Akufo-Addo

Soon to be appointed Black Stars coach, James Kwesi Appiah, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic at the Flagstaff House Tuesday.

Appiah, who arrived in the country to much fanfare, discussed pertinent issues related to his upcoming appointment with the first gentleman.

Government pushed hard for a local coach during the selection process for a new coach, and Appiah is said to have the personal backing of Nana Akufo-Addo.

A former captain and coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah starts his second stint on May 1, tasked with qualifying the team to the 2018 World Cup, as well as the 2019 Cup of African nations.
