The Acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Freddy Blay, has been appointed as the board chairman of the state run Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC).

The appointment was made by the President and communicated in a memo to GNPC signed by Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare.

Aside Blay, six others have been named to the board of the company.

These include Dr. K. K. Sarpong, who is the Corporation’s Chief Executive, Mr Kwabena Kwakye, Prof. 1 S. Nabila, Mr Yaw Kyei, Nana Adjoa Hackman and Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II.
