Ghana international Christian Atsu has joined Newcastle United on a four year deal from Chelsea.

Atsu spent the last season on loan with the newly promoted Premier League side and has done enough to convince the club to sign him.

The deal was completed for an undisclosed fee.

25 year old Atsu played 32 times for the club, scoring five goals and assisting three others in the club’s promotion winning campaign.

“We are happy to sign a good player,” head coach Rafael Benitez told the club’s official website.

“He’s shown us that he’s a good professional and someone who is very keen to learn and improve.

“Christian has been a key part of our promotion campaign and he wants to help us to build something for the future.”
