The Ghana military is making unsuitable headlines these days–with the latest being that, a police officer has been brutally assaulted by some soldiers at Uadarra Barracks in Adum, Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
The brutal assault has landed the police officer at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti region where he’s currently receiving treatment.
Yesterday, it was reported that Residents of Tontokrom in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti were also attacked by soldiers from the Ghana Armed Forces, an incident which led two people to fighting for their lives and several others fleeing the small town.

The Police officer, name withheld was using a thoroughfare at the barracks to the regional police command when he was stopped by the soldiers and asked to return.
The soldiers argued that it was late for the police officer who was in uniform to be using the route but the officer ignored the caution and insisted on using the route leading to a confrontation between him and the soldiers.
Reports gathered by Starrfmonline.com indicate that the soldiers attacked and mercilessly beat the police officer leading to the officer sustaining some injuries.
The Ashanti Regional Police crime officer Peter Baba who confirmed the incident which happened Monday evening said investigations will commence into the incident immediately.
