LISTEN: Kofi Wayo Speaks On Maxwell Mahama’s Murder, Says Gov’t Needs To Beef Up The Military With More Resources

Maverick Gh politician Kofi Wayo has spoken out on the death of the late Major Maxwell Mahama, describing it as the ‘wrong way’ to die.

Wayo, who is one of the dignitaries attending Mahama’s state funeral, spoke to the issue of the major’s death and said government needs to beef up the military and security agencies in general going forward.

After lamenting the unfortunate nature of Mahama’s death, Wayo then posited that the security services need better resources to deal with the challenges facing the nation.

“The basis of the nation is security forces.” Wayo said.

The late major was head of an army detachment to Denkyira-Obuasi who were there to fight the menace of galamsey. He was allegedly mistaken for a robber by residents of the town, who lynched him to death, burning his body afterwards.
