A Ghanaian woman has shared a video on Facebook claiming she bought 5 eggs from the market and they are all plastic/rubber eggs–except that she has already even eaten 4 of them.

In the video, the woman seems convinced that what she is showing is a rubber egg but various Facebook users who commented on the video when GhanaCelebrities.Com posted it say she is talking rubbish.

De Sam wrote: “This is no rubber egg…eggs have shell, outer and inner membrane(and it’s this membranes you’re referring to as rubber). You can literally peel a raw egg_that’s if you’re skillful enough to separate the shell from the members since these 2 are closely attached. Stop mis informing the public”

Alice Yaya also said: “As u can see, it’s a rubber, a rubber, a rubber all inside a rubber….. Madam we beg . can’t see nothing. Fake video. Mctchewww. Bad English on top. I laugh enter madina market.”

And Vera Okyere said: “Who would go through the long process of creating rubber eggs? How much does a create of eggs cost? How much profit would he/she make? We’re tired of all these conspiracy theories. The egg looks like it’s out of date so Madam ‘its a rubber’ just dispose them off and get fresh ones and stop spreading falsehood …….. haba!”
