Jay Z And Beyonce To Name Their Twins Rumi And Sir Carter

2 min

Names like Abigail, Faustina, Cynthia, Rebecca, Veronica among others appear to be fading in the new generation. If even they exist they are shortened in special ways like Abby, Stina, Cee, Becca, and Vee.

Thanks to modern day culture and the influence of Jay-Z and the likes. Names can now be coined from anything and some Boss Chicks are even named Yaa Kardashian or Afia Schwarzenegger.

Well, apart from Blue Ivy, Jay and Bey are about to introduce two new names to the Carter family. According to a TMZ report “Rumi and Sir Carter” are possibly the names for the new Carter twins.

TMZ is very certain of the names and stated emphatically that “the company run by Bey and Jay that owns the trademarks to their names filed legal docs Monday, June 26 — right around the time the twins went home — to secure rights to the names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter.
The docs are filed by the same company that filed for a Blue Ivy trademark earlier this year.”

As to what inspired the Carters to pick these names, it’s believed that “Rumi” was a 13th-century Persian poet and “Sir” happens to be referenced in one of his most famous poems:

“Bring the pure wine of
love and freedom.
But Sir, a tornado is coming.
More wine, we’ll teach this storm
A thing or two about whirling.”

With Jay Z being poetic as well, it’s easily convincing that Blue Ivy is about to have Rumi and Sir Carter as her younger siblings. Likely, dont be surprised to see a Boss Chick on Facebook bearing the name Adwoa Rumi or Yaa Rumi.
