VGMA Best New Artist of the Year and ‘Total Cheat’ hitmaker, Fancy Gadam, has shrugged off allegations that his success is due to using ‘juju’ – “I believe in God”.
The young Northern star’s breakout into the southern industry has left a lot of people scathing their heads, and as is typical with Ghanaians – the go to explanation is something spiritual – ie, he’s accused of utilising ‘juju’.
Speaking to Showbiz, Gadam laid all those rumours to rest, revealing his talent, and success, are gifts straight from God Almighty.
“I have actually heard people say I use Juju in building my large fan base but there is no such thing but hard work and blessings from God” he told Showbiz in an interview.
“I believe in God who gave me the talent and I thank Him for giving me the talent to capture the Northern Region with my music.”
Gadam said another secret to his success is actually his dedication to his fans.
“ I think about my fans more than I think about myself. Their worry is my worry and I am in touch with them every day through my social media outlets” he added.
