Former Vice President of the Republic of Ghana under the Mahama administration, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, says he’s ‘thinking’ about the possibility of running for President in 2020.
Amissah Arthur spent four years serving under former President Mahama and evidently, he believes he might be the man to replace him as NDC flagbearer and eventually, President of the Republic.
Amissah Arthur spoke to Joy News at the sidelines of the NDC’s events marking the 5th anniversary of former President Atta Mills’ death.
“I am not considering it.” Amissah Arthur told Beatrice Adu. “But people have come to me and I am thinking about it”
“As of now, I am not in the race but nobody knows what will happen in a year’s time” he added.

“It takes a lot of work. I saw what Prof. Mills did. I saw him travelling around this country. I saw him meet people. I saw him prepare.  You have to prepare a message.
“You can’t just want to be president, because you want to be president [but] because you want to deliver something to the country so I am not there yet” he added.
