And with this, I think telepathy has just occurred because someone just spewed all that I have been thinking since. One Fatau Keita says a lot of the dancehall music done in the country do not make sense and I stand right by him on this one.
He established these facts on the Ohemaa Woyeje show yesterday, Thursday, August 17 2017. He said Ghanaians must steer clear of Jamaican dancehall because its lyrical content has no positive impact on us.
Adding that he is the least afraid of anybody because all that he has said is the truth and stands with the truth.
“The dancehall artistes don’t make sense. I will urge Ghanaians to minimise the airplay of dancehall music, regardless, we need to portray ourselves and sell our music abroad. In the world we know how violent they are and how they fight with each other.” he said.
“It doesn’t tell good things about the industry. There is no sense in it. Because these are the people the youth are looking up to. I stands for the truth and loves to die for it. If I am saying something that will help the nation, I don’t care” he added.
He concluded that the hi life genre should be encourage since that is our intrinsic call as a nation.
“The dancehall music should be less played. The hi-life genre should be uplifted. That is what we are known for as Ghanaians…” he said.
