Actress Ama K. Abebrese picked up a new award over the weekend in the U.S.

The ‘Beasts of No Nation’ actress was adjudged the ‘Best Actress’ at the Newark International Film Festival, which came off Sunday in Newark, New Jersey.

Ama was rewarded for her performance in ‘Sink or Swim’, which also won the best film at the awards.

The Newark International Film Festival (NIFF) is dedicated to the art of storytelling through film. It aims to put filmmakers in front of major players in the film industry and movie lovers from around the world.
