Kofi Kinaata’s ‘Confession’ single not only dominated airplay in the country, it’s now making its way into academia.
Level 200 English students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have been using the song in their studies.
Music, when done properly, should contain numerous literary devices such as rhymes, metaphors, alliteration and a whole lot, and it seems a lecturer deems Kinaata’s ‘Confession’ good enough to be studied.
In a post on Facebook, Kinaata shared shots of an English translation of the songs lyrics, which English Literature students are studying for its literature devices.
“Thanks be to God, Level 200 students of KNUST are studying the literary devices in my song #Confession this semester (Poems For ENG-LIT 263). blank?blank? Bigups to the lecturer behind this!! blankblank? #TeamMooove” Kinaata posted on Facebook.
