The team of Donald Trump offered 50 Cent half a million dollars to get him to appear with them to appeal more to black voters, the rapper has revealed.
Speaking to Hot 97, the rapper said despite the figure involved for him to just make an ‘appearance’, he ultimately decided to turn it down.
It’s no secret that the Trump campaign mostly garnered its support from the white working class in the country and alienated most minority groups including African Americans, Hispanics and Muslims.
However, the rapper born Curtis Jackson says he was offered an handsome to appear with the campaign to help with getting blacks interested.
“Before he got elected, they [the Trump campaign] were having issues with the African American vote,” he said.
“They wanted to pay me $500,000 as part of the campaign just to make an appearance. I was like, ‘Nah, that’s not good money. That’s not worth it!”
So he turned down the offer, and it also turned out Trump did not need Blacks to win.
