Exclusive Events Ghana, organizers of the annual Miss Ghana pageants seem unable to ever get their acts together and run a scandal free pageant. From having problems with former beauty queens to having problems with sponsors, this year’s pageant has once again been struck with controversy.
Headline sponsors Ghandour Cosmetics have pulled out of sponsoring the event after complaining that Inna Patty failed to adhere to terms of their sponsorship contract with the pageant.
Marketing Manager Stephen Boadu revealed on Adom Fm that [Exclusive Events CEO] Patty had single handedly changed the terms of the contract, thus they were pulling out due to breach of contract.
“We did not get the radio, television and print publicity as promised and our banners were not even displayed at the event grounds. This is not what we agreed on and every effort to get Inna to address the issue proved futile” Boadu said.
With just days to the competition, slated for October 7, the pull out of headline sponsors is a huge blow to the perennially beleaguered pageant. However anyone who has been following the pageant for more than a year would not be surprised by such a turn of event.
