A Nigerian social media user is claiming that any proper boyfriend must pay his girlfriend a monthly salary of at least N 100,000.
Benita Clara Hiadan, who we guess is not a Pepper Dem Feminist, made this extraordinary claim on Facebook in a post about relationships.
N 100,000 converts to just over Ghc 1,200 – and according to her men should give their girlfriends at the very least this amount as their monthly salary.
And the figure even excludes other allowances such as ‘gift allowance’, ‘wardrobe allowance’ and others.
“As a Boyfriend, you should be paying your girlfriend, at least N100,000 as salary, excluding gifts allowance, wardrobe allowance, food allowance.. So, if you can’t afford to give her N100,000 monthly, please you’re not entitled to a girlfriend, go and use olive oil. God wee help you” she wrote.
