Caution is really high among Ghanaians following the recent explosion at Atomic Junction, and that averted what might have been a similar disaster from occurring today.
The Marwako Restaurant in Labadi has been evacuated by Fire Service Officials following fears of a gas leak.
Workers at the restaurant said they started smelling gas in the restaurant and promptly called fire officials to the scene.
This led to the evacuation of the restaurant, as well as the nearby Total and GOIL filling stations.
“Everybody has been asked to leave,” an eyewitness whose office is close to the Total filling station told Joy News Monday.
“We just noticed that people were running away from the Total and GOIL filling stations. As you cross the road you can even smell the gas which is still very dangerous,” he said.
Fire officials are said to be monitoring the situation closely.
