Couples Married for 70 years Reveal Secrets to Lasting Union

blankCouples who wed the same year as the Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburg who are celebrating their platinum wedding anniversary have revealed secrets to a long-standing happy marriage.
In an interview conducted by Jennie Bond, four couples who participated cited patience, a kiss every night and doing everything together as keys for lasting marriage.
Doris and Ted Box said they’d done everything together apart from going to football matches. 
‘He’s just the man for me,’ Doris, said while Ted added: ‘I just love her and that’s it.’
Geoff Bancroft, 88, said of his wife June: ‘She’s my queen. She’s a one-off. She’s kept me under control.
‘We’re still kissing. My wedding day was the happiest day of my life.’
June and Geoff Bancroft who were married at a register office in Altrincham on March 22, 1947, two years after the Second World War ended said they’re still kissing 70 years on

‘We’re still kissing. My wedding day was the happiest day of my life.’
According to Mrs. Bancroft, the romance was still there 70 years on.
‘We just love one another. We knew each other when we were 12 and met again at 15. From there on we’ve just never been apart,’ she said.
‘We just love being with one another all the time. We still have a few arguments like everybody, but we still cuddle and kiss.’
The couple, who have five children, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, celebrated their milestone anniversary with a family party in a local pub.
