The best responses Ghanaians have to a solid, logic based argument is to lob ad hominems back in your direction without ever responding to the argument raised.
Solid example, the recent piece by GhanaCelebrities.Com editor Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri labelling Ghanaians as hypocrites for ‘sinning’ all the time yet judging homos*xuals such as KKD’s son for being gay and treating them like the only sinners in town.
In that article, Chris-Vincent cited a plethora of actions labelled as sins by the Christian bible, including but not limited to — “adultery, gossiping, hating, fornication, stealing, lust, envy, jealousy, drunkenness, materialism, wantonness, sensuality, gambling, revelings, attachment to riches or material goods, lawsuits against Christians, emulations, extortion, desire for money, desire for power, desire for s*x (relating to s*xual immorality), anger at other’s good fortunes, desiring things of others, flirting or playing with temptation, murder, anger, hate, enmity, rage, brawling, rioting, unforgiving heart, wrath, unmerciful, dissensions, contentions, clamor, despitefulness, debate, arguing, fighting, abortion, divisions, strife, rivalries, cursing, swearing, blaspheming, breaking oath taken in God’s name, irreverent use of God’s name in humor, speaking evil of the church, taking communion or the Lord’s Supper in a careless manner or unworthily, idolatry, greed, covetousness, love of money [and] gluttony”
Now, obviously, most if not all Ghanaians have flouted this quite extensive list of sins, and thus unable to refute the allegation of hypocrisy, rather took to insults against Chris-Vincent without ever attacking the argument he made.
Some of the more amusing insults are catalogued below, betraying poor grammar and a half baked grasp of the important issue being discussed. It doesn’t hurt to learn how to spell and properly construct sentences, you know.
It’s also crucial when commenting on an article, maybe to respond to the points raised in said article instead of going off on a foul mouthed tangent.
Hope you’re ready for an early morning laugh.
