John Mahama Receives Warm Birthday Wishes From Ghanaians

Ghanaians may have disappointed John Mahama by voting him and his NDC out of power in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections but that did not hinder them from recognising and wishing him happy birthday today.

The defeated president is 59 years old today and as usual of Ghanaians, they couldn’t hide their love and admiration for the former president.

Many Ghanaians have taken to social media to pour out their warm and sweet birthday messages on him.

Lots of celebrities including Mzbel, Afia Schwar and the likes have warmly wished John Mahama a happy birthday on social media.

Some too have uploaded photos of him with beautiful captions and messages.

John Mahama took over at the presidency in July 2012 after the sudden demise of President Atta Mills and went on to defeat the current president Akufo Addo in what could best be described as a conflicting victory in December 2012.

John Mahama undertook a lot of developmental projects in his tenure of office including the reconstruction of the Kwame Nkrumah circle and other roads.

He is known to have a good sense of humour and being an expert in communication.

His hopes of maintaining the high office of the land were quashed by an overwhelming 54% of total valid votes for Akufo Addo against his 44% of total valid votes in the 2016 general elections.

Sources have it that, he still wants to run as flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress–NDC in December 2020. All we can say is to wish him the best on this special day.

Happy birthday, John Mahama!
