Veteran highlife singer Kwabena Kwabena has blasted dancehall artist Shatta Wale, saying his unhinged actions is giving Ghana a bad name internationally.
According to Kwabena Kwabena, Shatta Wale has gotten as bad as he is because Ghanaians have constantly rewarded his stupid acts instead of punishing him for it.
Kwabena Kwabena cited an example of how Shatta Wale made his return to the music scene by insulting others and engaging in other disrespectful acts and he was rewarded with more fans than before and the 2014 VGMA Artist of the Year award.
“Shatta Wale’s continuous misbehaviour is as a result of what we all nurtured five years ago and everybody who follows my submissions will understand exactly what am saying” Kwabena Kwabena said on Peace Fm.
“Rather, Shatta Wale was crowned the artist of the year for 2014 VGMA awards even though he did not attend the award, and it was because Charter House was just thinking of how to make their money” he said.
“Although Shatta Wale is a creative artist, his behavior is nothing good to talk about, we live in a global village now and as a result, all what he’s doing goes out there painting a bad image for the country and people living outside Ghana will be facing the consequences, that is why the Nigerian musicians teamed up together and treated Sarkodie the way they did at the just ended One Africa Music festival in Dubai”, Kwabena Kwabena stated.
