Highlife veteran star Randy Nunoo is in the grips of Accra Police for allegedly defrauding a member of the public.
Nunoo is alleged to have used his former position as a licensing officer for the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) to take money from the complainant even though he had stopped working with GHAMRO.
According to a Razzonline report, Randy after leaving his job in 2016 visited a business known as ‘Food Inn’ on the Spintex Road and in his capacity as ‘licencing officer’, took Ghc 3,000 from the owner as music usage licence.
He took the money for his personal use, the report alleges.
After the deception was discovered, the complainant reported the case to the Central Police Station in Accra and Nunoo was arrested and detained for questioning.
