The conversation over the legalization or otherwise of homos*xuality in Ghana is heating up with the recent report from Human Rights Watch which indicted Ghana for discriminating against gays.
That follows the comments by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, that legalization is something that is bound to happen sometime in the future. All these has brought the issue to the forefront of the discussion in Ghana.
Controversial lawyer Maurice Ampaw has injected himself into the debate and as usual, comes in with nothing but his bush opinions which contribute nothing constructive to the debate.

Like most Ghanaians, Ampaw’s head is firmly stuck up his a$$ and he cannot seem to make any coherent arguments but rather resorts to ad hominem attacks.
Ampaw, speaking on Atinka Fm, has hit out human rights lawyers campaigning for the legalization of homos*xuality in Ghana, describing them as mad and gays and lesbians as criminals.
According to the lawyer, homos*xuals fall under the same category as armed robbers or rapists and therefore deserve no rights.
“Gays and Lesbians are just like criminals, they are threats to the society and do not deserve rights enjoyed by the average Ghanaian”. Ampaw said.
He added that anyone who supports them under the banner of human rights are mad and not right in the head.
