Loudmouthed ‘Dancehall king’ Shatta Wale claims the ‘Artist of the Year’ award at the 2018 VGMAs will be won by himself if he is nominated.
Wale says Ebony should pray that he is not nominated because that is the only way she can win.
With the VGMA’s coming up very soon, many have earmarked Ebony as the favourite to win the topmost award.
The ‘Hustle’ hitmaker would win, Shatta Wale claims, only if he is not nominated.
“Ebony is my girl and I really love her and what she is doing but as for the artiste of the year, unless they don’t nominate me, before she can win. So she should just pray they don’t nominate me”, he said on Okay Fm.

Shatta said he has had a bigger year than Ebony and listed his hits such as ‘Taking Over’, ‘Ayoo’, ‘Forgetti’, ‘Freedom’ and ‘Dem Confused’.
However, over the past several years Shatta Wale has a feud with the VGMAs and that precludes him from the awards. It’s not clear if he’ll be part of this year’s event or not.
