Actor Ekow Smith Asante has fired shots at media houses in Ghana, warning them they have to pay celebrities for interviews since they also charge them to promote their projects.
In a recent interview on Joy Fm, Asante said that since they have to pay when they want to promote their movies or other projects, the media houses should also pay them if they need them for an interview.
This is a concept musician/comedian A Plus has expressed before but it’s not one that many has shared.
However, Asante, during an interview with Joy Fm laid down the law to the media.

According to him, actors have to look for huge sums of money to promote their movies but in contrast, appear for free when the media needs them.
“The moment you invite a celebrity to your station, you should [pay them],” he said.
