Lydia Forson has lased out at certain perceptions she believes Ghanaians hold about actors/actresses which she sees as inaccurate.
According to the award winning actress, the movie industry is not exactly at its best but the perception that actors are poor is completely wrong.
Forson said it’s a fact that they are underpaid in relation to the work they do but that doesn’t mean they are broke.
“When I say the industry is underpaid compared to other industries it is because I do believe that we should be paid more than we are being paid now. It doesn’t mean we (actors/actresses) are broke and can’t afford anything.” she said.
“I do admit that the Ghana movie industry is relatively young, and it’s a struggle for every industry that is just starting from the beginning.” she added.
