Well it has to be said that Zylofon Media are not covering themselves in glory so far. Whilst Nana Appiah Mensah has shown he has boatloads of cash and also that he has grand ideas, what he hasn’t shown is technical nous for the industry.
His label is all talk and no walk.
CEO of Slip Music and veteran Ghanaian music executive, Mark Okraku Mantey, says Ghanaians are actually getting tired of always hearing about Zylofon Media when no one even knows what they’re really doing.
According to Mantey, the label lacks vision and direction and even the basic idea of what they’re supposed to achieve with their artists.
“Where is the substance that Zylofon is selling to us?” he wondered.
“If you say that you are selling a product, the product itself must be good before you can add the promotion to get the final consumption…the artistes have they grown from when we knew them? I think we should be getting answers to some of those questions instead of every time Zylofon launching this or that cash thing,” he said.
Mantey added: “For me, some of the questions I would want to ask..all of us…are we not tired of Zylofon or discussing Zylofon?,”
