South African erotic dancer, Rebeca Libram, affectionately called Zodwa Wabantu was on Saturday deported from Zambia by the Zambian Immigration authorities.
According to reports, Wabantu who was billed to perform at an album launch in Lusaka was arrested and detained at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport upon arrival.

The reason for her deportation was not stated but sources have it that the government masterminded her deportation with reason that Wabantu’s bad morals would corrupt the Zambian women.
According to the National Guidance and Religious Affairs Minister, Wabantu could only appear as a guest at the album launch because granting her the permission to perform was against “public interest and national values”.

“I have just confirmed with South African Airways that she was deported and left for South Africa aboard the 07:20hrs flight (today),” Lucky Cheelo Munakampe was quoted by a private daily, The Mast.
