British astronomer, cosmologist, mathematician and author, Stephen Hawking who was also considered to be the world’s living greatest scientist has died at 76 as declared by his family spokesperson.
In the early hours of Wednesday 14th March, 2018, he died peacefully at his home located close to the Cambridge University, the family spokeperson revealed.
Prof. Hawking was born 18th Janauray 1942 and in 1963 he was diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone disease and was left paralysed later. The use of a wheelchair aided his movement and he was unable to speak except through a voice synthesiser.
Prof. Hawking never lost hope even in his condition he was still pressing on and wrote on his website “I try to lead as normal a life as possible, and not think about my condition, or regret the things it prevents me from doing, which are not that many, I have been lucky that my condition has progressed more slowly than is often the case. But it shows that one need not lose hope.”
Rest in peace Prof Stephen Hawking.
