Ghanaian Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame aka Rap ‘Doctor’ has been honoured with the accolade, 2018 Celebrity Philanthropist by the National Philanthropy Forum.
The rapper was awarded based on his campaign against Hepatitis B in the country.

His campaign against Hepatitis B aims at screening and vaccinating about 1,000 Ghanaians each year against the viral infection.
President of the Ghana Philanthropy Forum, Dr Ben Ocra presenting the award to Okyeame Kwame indicated that the rapper has done a lot for the country since he came into limelight and therefore needs to be honoured.

He said:
“By this award scheme, we do not seek to pay back people like Okyeame Kwame, but to appreciate their efforts and encourage them”.
