Serial Award Winner Dr Felix Anyah – CEO Of Korle-Bu – Picks Up Best CEO In Ghana Award To Add To His Overflowing Honours Cabinet

Chief Executive Officer of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Felix Anyah, has picked up yet another award in a career filled with nothing but groundbreaking awards.
Dr Anyah, formerly CEO of the Holy Trinity Medical Centre, been adjudged the overall best CEO in Ghana (public and private sector), at the recently held Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards (GECEA).
Dr Anyah only got his appointment to Korle-Bu after the NPP came into power but he has already transformed the nation’s premiere health facility and is being recognzied for it.
A citation accompanying the award read: “”Within two (2) months of his appointment, there was an emergency acquisition of two high and digital PBX equipment which is able to receive 30 calls concurrently; an integrated services digital network (ISDN) awaiting the installation of an end to end software that will ensure efficient bed management, improve security, minimize leakages and ensure greater efficiency in running the hospital; a next generation firewall, a set antivirus application software, CCTV and access controls and Microsoft office 365 application with two years renewable contract, among others.”
Reacting to his umpteenth award win, Dr. Anyah told Joy Business, “I think it’s an entrepreneurial private sector-led approach to issues in the public sector. I think that’s what I believe has unravelled the solutions in Korle-Bu which is the public sector facility.”

In all, about 37 entrepreneurs and corporate executives were awarded at the GECEA Awards. Dr. Daniel Mckorley,  Group Chairman of McDan Group of companies, was adjudged the Overall Best Entrepreneur of the year. The Immediate past Managing Director of Graphic Communications Group Ltd., Ken Ashigbey, was named Best Media Communications CEO of the Year whilst the Executive Director of National Service Scheme, Mustapha Ussif, won Best Young CEO of the Year (Public Sector).
Other winners included Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, as Overall Best Minister of the Year and the Minister of Land and Natural Resources, Hon. John Peter Amewu as Distinguished Public Officer of the Year.
For Dr Felix Anyah, such awards are more of a routine than anything else. Whilst in charge of Holy Trinity, he won a lifetime award for excellence in Healthcare servicing at the 2015 ‘Made In Ghana Excellence Awards.’
The Holy Trinity Spa and Health Farm under his leadership won the best’ Spa and Health Service Providers award at the Made In Ghana Excellence Awards, with other honours including Best Health/Medical Tourism Destination in West Africa, the Most Patronised Medical Tourism Destination in West Africa Award, and numerous Best SPA Awards in West Africa.
