The Abiba crooner, Rex Omar says there is no way he is allowing his children depend solely on music to make a living and meet ends.
He said the new crop of musicians are just made to appear like they live on extravagance and all is well in terms of their finances but beyond that facade they display are broke musicians.
Speaking on Cape FM’s Entertainment Xtra Emcee Bebe, he advised rising musicians to look at others options at generating income and discourage themselves from depending on music exclusively because the industry does not pay well.
“Once you are an up and coming, be sure you don’t throw your education away. Try to be sure that as you’re pursuing your music career, you do something that will put food on your table.
“Until you start earning a serious income from music, do something to support yourself. For it’s very dangerous today here in Ghana for young peers.”
