It seems like a pretty obvious truth but people are so in love with religion — more specifically with their pastors — that in their eyes they can do no evil and the exploitation, from all angles, continues unabated.
It should be the height of irony that supposed followers of a man who lived in poverty and advocated quite sternly against the rich, in fact said the hardest thing in the world is for a rich man to enter heaven — is now represented almost exclusively by rich men, aka pastors.
And the meek, gullible sheep can’t even spot this simple irony, which the pastors exploit to the fullest.
I’ve been in Obinim’s church numerous times, and as in a lot of churches a significant portion of the congregation are dirt poor, investing in their pastor in the hope that God would invest in their lives.
All they get in return is Obinim chilling with their money in Dubai whilst bragging about it!
Afia Schwarzenegger seems to have spotted this irony and hit out at the Bishop on Instagram.
Sharing a video of his boast of being able to purchase five Rolls Royce Ghosts with just the money in his bank account, Afia notes:
“The power of offering….and people arw very hungry in his church..80% of his church members are unemployed n hungry. Ghanaians wake up for the bible said whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be save!!! Angel in dubai pt 1&2.”
However, the issue goes far beyond Obinim — it’s about religion which perpetuates the idea that a man has been ‘anointed’ and thus almost everything he wants, must be done for him.
That’s how we end up with all sorts of pastors doing whatever they want — and getting away with it.
