Wayoose Talks About How He Came By His Name And How Much He Received For His First Role In Acting

Joseph Nana Kofi Osei otherwise known as Wayoosi wants to remind us that every big thing starts little and we as a people should celebrate every win, even the little ones.

Wayoosi has been in the movie industry for as long as we can remember and God knows the many times he has made us laugh our sorrows away just by looking at him (no malice intended).

Wayoose has spoken about the first ever movie he acted to shoot him to fame and how much he was paid then. He says he was paid 50ghc and Agya Koo was paid 200ghc.

“My first time on a movie set, acting with top actors like Agya Koo, Santo, Joojo Robertson, Master Richard and Suzzy Williams was in a movie titled ‘Awieye’. I was dumbfounded and a bit nervous seeing these actors but I mustered courage and played my role very well. All the actors clapped for me after my role on set.” 

On how he got the name Wayoose, he told Enter Chat Master Richard gave him that name which has now become a household brand.

“Master Richard approached me to feature in his popular television series, Dada Boat. So through Master Richard and featuring in Dada Boat TV series, I got the name WAYOOSI. I received GhC50.00 as pay for the role I played in ‘Ma Tricki’ movie… Agya Koo also received GhC200.00 for that same movie.”
