Pastor Mensa Otabil, head pastor of the International Central Gospel Church, has reiterated his call that Christians must spend ‘millions and billions’ to the glory of the kingdom of God.
These millions and billions, of course, must be donated to Mensa Otabil and other pastors of his ilk and they would decide how best to spend the money glorifying God.
The 2018 edition of Greater Works is underway and the time to motivate the teeming masses to bring out their money and give it to Otabil is here.
He posted on social media about giving out ‘millions and billions’ and despite the backlash he continued the call for cash whilst speaking with the congregation at the event.
“We are going millions and billions for his glory. We make no apology whatsoever for the one who deserves the highest resource is the one who created all the resource,” Otabil said.
Reiterating the criticism of why there’s the need to spend money worshipping God instead of doing it in your hearts, he responded with a series of analogies.
“Hospital buildings are not nurses and doctors why do you spend 240m to build hospitals?” he asked.
“Stadia don’t play football but why do you build stadia to play football?
“Because you must create an atmosphere for what you treasure to happen in…there is nobody who deserves better honour than the King of kings…and we will use it to worship him.
“We will be extravagant, we will go the extra mile”.
So bring me more money and let’s worship God, he added in his mind.
