Former President Mahama Mourns Lynched Soldier – Captain Maxwell Mahama

Former president John Dramani Mahama has expressed his regrets and condolences to the family of Captain Maxwell Mahama who was lynched and burnt by some angry youth in Diaso a town in the Central Region where he was deployed to serve at. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning when Capt. Maxwell Mahama was on his routine jogging exercise.

President Mahama took to twitter to offer his condolence to the wife and family of the army captain. He tweeted, ““My heart goes out to my brother, Capt. Chubby Adam Mahama (Rtd.) on the murder of his son, Capt. Maxwell Mahama. #RestinPeaceMaxwell.”

“And my condolences to the wife of Capt. Maxwell Mahama, his young children & to his mother on the loss of her only son. #RestinPeaceMaxwell.”

Corruption Worst Under Akufo Addo – Koku Anyidoho

Koku Anyidoho, the Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that corruption is going to be worst under President Akufo-Addo.

He made this statement after listening to a tape on President Akufo Addo’s fight against corruption on UTV’S Adekye Nsroma programme. He asserted that an immoral act constitutes corruption, and at such appointing 110 ministers is an immoral act that will eventually put pressure on the public purse.

On the tape, the president was reacting to the recent news of the arrest of some customs officials responsible for the loss of about GH¢1.2 billion in revenue to the state. The president added that the arrest of these officials is part of his government’s efforts to block revenue leakages at the country’s ports.

Mark Zuckerberg Goes Back To Get His Harvard Degree 12 Years after Dropping Out

Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook has returned to Harvard to pick up his degree 12 years after dropping out to work full-time on Facebook.

Mark founded what was then called “The Facebook” in 2004 in his college dormitory. The Facebook was at first limited to only Harvard students before later expanding to other Ivy League universities.

Delivering the commencement address – a speech given to graduating students – to the 2017 graduating students on Thursday, he said, “It’s good to be idealistic. But be prepared to be misunderstood. Anyone working on a big vision will get called crazy, even if you end up right. Anyone working on a complex problem will get blamed for not fully understanding the challenge, even though it’s impossible to know everything upfront. Anyone taking initiative will get criticized for moving too fast, because there’s always someone who wants to slow you down.”

Lawyer Yaw Boafo, the former president of the Ashanti Regional Bar Association has made a revelation that the increasing insistence on marriage counselling in churches is rather being accompanied by an alarming increasing number of divorce and marital conflict in the country’s court.

He made this known on the Ultimate Breakfast Show whiles discussing the essence of marriage counselling and whether it guarantees successful marriages or not.

He said, “I’ve been a lawyer for 22 years and when we were called to the bar in those days, you come to court rarely to see that a judge has not sat because a matrimonial matter was being heard in chambers. But now it’s gotten so endemic that we have a court specifically called a gender court that deals with matrimonial cases and when you go there it is as packed as a criminal court.”

The founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International, Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has issued a warning to all Ghanaians not to accept monies and goodies from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as an incentive to vote for them in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
He made this known during a press conference on Sunday, in his office in Accra.
