Do You Have N*de Pictures of Yourself? Be Careful Who You Give Them to…

CENSORED
Censored

On the subject of n*des, I have been observing critically. How do you know the right person to send them to? If you will be honest, you will agree we have all taken n*des at some point and sent to someone.

When I was much younger, I had a boyfriend whom I was deliriously in love with. And you know what, we exchanged A LOT of n*des.

He was my first boyfriend so I didn’t know these things. When he asked for n*des, I wasn’t sure what he meant so he took some of himself and sent. Also, we agreed that I will never leak his, and he should never leak mine. It was a form of collateral having his so I could be sure mine were safe because he is a decent man who would lose so much if I leak his. So I reasoned he wouldn’t dare leak mine.

When we broke up, he called me and we sat together and deleted each others n*des. He deleted mine and I deleted his.

The Posters + Do You Support Ama K Abebrese’s ‘Anti-Bleaching’ Campaign?

Ama K Campaign 2
Ama K Abebrese’s Love Your Skin Tone Campaign

Many people have lauded Ama K Abebrese for being daring and for having the courage to stand up against skin bleaching in an industry dominated by marked skin changes both home and abroad.

It is not easy to have so many friends and colleagues who are guilty of the very crime you seek to eradicate. I am sure some of her colleagues have given her the side eye and grumbled about her nerves in her absence but let me tell you something interesting I overhead at an industry meeting.

There are people who believe this campaign is uncalled for because what adults choose to do with their skin is their business.

Others think she is deliberately trying to piss off or jab at the people who we know have bleached up a little and a lot…I will leave out names. We all know them!

Ama K Abebrese Campaign1
Ama K Abebrese’s Love Your Skin Tone Campaign

Do you think there is truth to this? Do you think that she is deliberately and subtly sending a message to specific people? Are you one of the people who are supporting her campaign or do you think she just needs to leave people alone because after all, she also has her sins?

I also heard another person say Ama K would have lightened too if she had a chance but she is too popular and everybody knows her skin colour already so she cannot do it…

SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD: Fan Fanatic? Woman Spends $30,000 to Look Like Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian look alike1
Kim Kardashian and Claire Leeson

Love or hate her,one thing you cannot deny is Kim Kardashian’s influence on social media and on youth culture. She is literally like an uncontrollable fire. People clamor to devour details of her private life. Eager to know what she is doing at what time including her family who has been sucked into her cash spinning life.

To think that Kim used to be a mere assistant to Paris Hilton is amazing…

It is obvious that many young women wish they looked like Kim Kardashian for obvious reasons. Though some have resigned themselves to being content with what they cannot change, some fans will do anything to look like her. I am shocked how good plastic surgery is these days that someone can get almost exactly what they want if they are willing to roll out the money needed.

Take a look at this interesting woman who dropped a whooping 30,000 dollars just to look like Kim Kardashian.

Big Demonstration to Hit Washington Next Week: Ghanaians in USA to Protest Economic Hardship

blank

Talking about the hardship in Ghana is almost a cliché by this point it feels like beating a dead horse. Yet a group of Ghanaians living in the USA, Ghanaians Against Bad Governance, have announced a protest for next Wednesday July 23.

The group, who describe themselves as a ‘non-partisan’, say they are interested in the economic and social well being of the people of Ghana.

Ghanaians yesterday had to re-adjust to an increase in petroleum prices, and consequently transport fares, as the economic deterioration showed no signs of abating.

The protest is slated for the Ghanaian embassy in Washington and is set to kick off at 0900 local time and would conclude with the presentation of a petition intended to be forwarded to the Government of Ghana.

This protest follows on the heels of similar ones going on in Ghana currently, such as the Occupy Flag Staff House and Red Friday protests.

Ghanaians Against Bad Governance counts amongst their ranks Ghanaians of diverse background living in the United States, who believe that the Government has to deliver on the promises they made to the people of Ghana.

Stretch Forth Your Hand; Pastors Are in Dire Need of Deliverance!

Woman Among Lit Votive Candles

It seems most pastors nowadays, especially from the mushrooming Pentecostal churches, are failing to live righteously, are getting caught in the ‘enemy’s’ snare and are struggling to get out and since Christians are working tirelessly to make heaven, why don’t we love our neighbour as ourselves and deliver these pastors from their demons?

Sadly, almost all the time, these types of failures involve sexual sins and they leave trails of destruction behind. Some of us rate their power according to their ‘magical works’ and the types of demons (which unfortunately returns all the time) they cast out in the name of deliverance but the question is, since they are humans like me and you, who exorcises and deliver them from demons? For a pastor to impregnate ladies in his church and say the Holy Spirit directed him to do it is…….

Some of these men started out as wonderful, consecrated, enthusiastic ministers who set out to serve the Lord with pure hearts. When it got to a point where they got fed up of storing their treasures in heaven (in fact heaven is too distant for them); they opened themselves up to demons to work through them. Their demons are many but notable among them is greed, robbery, pride, lasciviousness, murder (they killed God, displaced ‘His’ body and became the gods in our lives). They keep telling us to look up to God to provide for our every need and whilst looking up, they look down at us to provide for their every need – from the basic to the vain! In fact, they’re in dire need of deliverance.

They avoid the biblical truths about suffering, contentment, humility, giving up the world, repentance and even sin; but focus on blessings, prosperity, success, breakthrough, tithes, first fruits, advancement – simply put, they are indwelt by worldly ambitions and these kind of teaching is drawing people into social vices and gets rich schemes because ‘it’s a curse to be poor and poverty is a disease’.

Castro’s Body Found? | Suspected Body washed Ashore Tema Beach

Castro and Janet
Castro and Janet

One week later and finally we are getting some news in relation to Castro’s missing body. But if it is processed to a logical conclusion, all the dramatics surrounding Castro the Destroyer and Janet Bandu’s disappearance will finally cease.

On Saturday, fishermen found an adult male body along the Sakumono Beach. The body was in a state of decomposition with some of the skin peeling off. The body which is 1.7 metres tall has since been handed over to the police. Although much speculation has already gone round suggesting that the body belongs to Theophilus Tagoe, Castro, the police insist we should all wait for a proper autopsy report since the state of the body does not permit easy identification.

Daily Guide reported that it was found at Mighty Beach and has been taken to the Korle-bu teaching hospital by some police personnel and Marine police.

Media Houses in Ghana Are Continuously Choosing Looks Over Excellence & Talent | The More Reason Why Professionalism is Going Down

TV Anchor

Working in the media is in all probability one of the most hectic jobs you will ever find. It involves spending lot of sleepless nights in making sure a particular work is done right. This isn’t a day’s activity as it becomes a routine for any media person. Anybody who has or is still working in the media will understand what I’m talking about. Getting yourself involved with the media requires dedication, passion, talent, self-sacrifice, and so on.

In time past, our media houses had very talented individuals working for them who were driven by passion and dedication. Such ones include Tommy Annan-Forson, Moses Foh-Amoaning, Azigiza Jnr, Ebenezer Ampaabeng, and many others. If you were an ardent follower of these outstanding people, you would probably know they had immense love for the work that they were and are somewhat still doing.

Owners of media houses at that time paid meticulous attention to talent and dedication towards the job. Same cannot be said in our day. Talentless individuals have filled almost all media houses. Talent is no more regarded like before.

In the broadcast world (specifically television), TV personalities are in essence employed based on physical beauty (especially newscaster). Spend some few minutes with your TV set and pay attention to the hosts of programs and newscasters. One thing that put them in the lead is their physical beauty, aside that, anything else that has to do with talent or excellence is spurious to them. Why would you expect a television station to employ you as a newscaster when Kwaku Bonsam won’t even love to use you for blood sacrifice?

Over the years, I have heard people say they want to become newscasters because they look good. In a particular instance, I witnessed how a media guru told a friend of mine never to opt for TV broadcasting because he wouldn’t look good on TV. If a media guru tells you this, what is he actually implying? Looks are far more important than talent.

Based on situations like this, those with the real talent who might not be good looking are pushed aside. At least for a lady, you have to have some ‘cargo’ at your back, well positioned boobies, and smooth-looking face.

Most of the television stations in Ghana want to brand themselves in a particular way to attract viewership and advertisers. One of the ways to catch the attention of such people is the use of good looking news anchors and hosts. I can name a friend who always watches Metro TV news because of a certain ‘fresh’ lady.

2014 Brazil World Cup: Gotze’s Extra Time Goal Crowns Germany New World Champions

Gotze
Gotze

A gruelling 120 minutes ended with a narrow 1-0 victory for Germany as the world cup drew to a close with a glamorous final at the Maracana.

Mario Gotze’s 113th minute goal gave Germany their fourth title, drawing at par with Italy and remaining just one shy of Brazil total of five.

Substitutes Schurrle and Gotze combined for the goal, Schurrle’s cross finding Gotze in the box, who controlled with his chest and hit a first time volley past Argentina keeper Sergi Romero.

Germany and Argentina remained the last two standing at the end of a gruelling thirty days of action and the two sides locked horns in the iconic Maracana stadium for the honour of being addressed as world champions.

It did not take long for the game to heat up, a headed back pass from Toni Kroos intercepted by an unmarked Higuain. The forward incredulously dragged his shot wide, with Manuel Neuer at his mercy.

Germany kept the bulk of possession, whilst Argentina defended gallantly and hit on the counter, the pace of Higuain, Messi, and Lavessi causing the German defence all sorts of problems.

A similar fast break led to Argentina breaking the deadlock in the 30th minute, but Higuain was offside when he turned in Lavessi’s cross, leaving the scores unchanged.

Germany lifted up their game as the half wore on, particularly after Andre Schurrle was brought on for the injured Kramer. The Chelsea forward hit a thunderbolt towards goal in the 31st minute, but Romero was alert to turn it aside.

A crazy last five minutes of the half first saw Messi rampage down the right flank, but Boateng stuck to him like glue and finally managed to clear; before Howedes saw his header strike the bar just before halftime to end the first half goalless.

The second half commenced with a change from Sabella, Aguero coming on for Lavessi. And Argentina began the half with renewed purpose, Messi getting himself free down the right in the 47th, but he dragged his shot wide across the face of goal.

Which Came First, the Chicken Or The Egg? | The Ghanaian Media, Public, and Their Fondness for the ‘Supernatural’

The media
The media

There are many issues raised by Castro’s recent disappearance, mostly concerning Ghanaian society and how we are not well equipped to effectively dealing with catastrophe of any kind. A week after Castro and Miss Bandu disappeared and we are no closer to finding either of them due to the unavailability of state of the art rescue equipment.

Another issue that has come up recently, perhaps assumed even more prominence than the fact that two people are missing, are the glut of prophets, mallams, and other supernatural agents claiming knowledge of what transpired when the mysterious disappearances occurred. Each one after the other claims exclusive knowledge, and that only they or their deity can save the situation.

I often listen to such people with little seriousness, as often their ‘prophecies’ contain contradictions and double truths that unravels under the smallest application of logical thinking.

More worrying is the fondness of the general public at large for the spewing of these people, take a walk down any street in Ghana and you would find people in serious discussion of the Castro issue honestly considering all the angles, and trying to discern whether it was really the ‘maame water’ who carried him away or it was some other spirit.

And this ‘affliction’ of my fellow countrymen is easily fuelled by the media, leading to more and more discussion of such issues. It did not take long after Castro’s disappearance for these spiritual people to come out of the woodwork to make their claims, and the truth is the radio and TV stations are happy to accommodate them because Ghanaians buy into that kind of theories, thus that is what sells.

That leads to my question at the top of this piece, which comes first, the chicken or the egg? Is it the fondness of the Ghanaian public for the supernatural that has led to the media always concentrating on those elements in the event of a tragedy, or is it by always harping on those elements that the media keep the Ghanaian people super invested in that element of the supernatural world.

Obviously Ghanaians are big on religion; therefore we tend to lean more towards explanations of events from the realms beyond those of us mere mortals. Yet by the media continuing to give prominence to such issues, it creates a self-perpetuating cycle which is unlikely to be broken thus leading Ghana further and further away from the positivist and towards the mystical.

Dutch Ease Past Brazil in Third Place Game with Humiliating 3-0 Victory

Brazil vrs Netherlands
Brazil vrs Netherlands

An early goal set the Netherlands on its way to a humiliating 3-0 win over hosts Brazil in their world cup third place play-off.

The much maligned third place encounter kicked off between these sides after disappointing semi final losses for both, for hosts Brazil’s a humiliating 7-1 loss to Germany.

And they suffered another, falling to three goals from the Dutch whilst mustering little in the way of a response.

Any plans to exorcise the ghosts of Tuesday flew out the window as early as the 2nd minute, after a van Persie through ball sent Robben clean through, skipper Silva bringing him down for the referee to point to the spot.

Robin van Persie made no mistake, burying the penalty into the top right corner.

Again Brazil had conceded the early goal, and they poured forward indiscriminately in search of the equaliser, leading to fast breaks for the Dutch reminiscent of Brazil’s 7-1 loss, yet they managed to hang on this time.

The best Brazil could offer were from crosses on the left, but Jo in the middle failed to trap his crosses well, thus they threatened little throughout the half, even after the Dutch went 2-0 up.

Robben’s through ball sent De Guzman free down the right, his not too good cross falling to David Luiz; but the defender’s clearance was poor, his header setting up Danny Blind who hammered into the roof of the net.

Miss Ghana 2013 Giuseppina Baafi

The Miss Ghana 2013 resignation or sacking saga continues—and it is being reported that, apart from the fact the organizers-Exclusive Events Ghana tried forcing Miss Giuseppina Baafi into signing an unfavourable new contract, the winner got into a big fight with Inna Patty’s mother.

Inna Patty is a former Miss Ghana winner and the CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana. According to the host of Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review-Kwasi Aboagye, their investigations revealed that, when Giuseppina Baafi refused to sign the new contract presented to her, Inna Patty’s mother came to her residence and tried forcing her into signing it.

Apparently, Inna Patty’s mother screamed and got into a fight with the winner—-and a standing fridge even fell. The fight got nasty and loud to the extent that the neighbours of Giuseppina Baafi came in to separate the fight.
