The Banana I bought from the road side this afternoon

Hello all,

I am writing from the beautiful land of Ghana right now—where I can honestly say that I am fully enjoying beautiful people, great weather, and awesome foods.

However, I would like to say that as a dedicated follower of this site-GhanaCelebrities.Com often times I read such cruel statements and remarks about African Americans and USA as a whole.

The subject of Abortion is one that is very sensitive to many but a topic that needs to be discussed since latest statistics prove that 7 out of 10 pregnancies within the African Community end in Abortion.

The statistics are troublesome because in today’s Society there are at least 20 different types and methods of birth control that can be used to prevent conception. The cycle of reproduction also is something that should be viewed in a positive light; and as something special and divine…but yet our women are having abortions repeatedly at a higher rate than any other race of women.

Some women have even had more than 5 abortions alone and continue to have unprotected sex doing nothing to prevent these unnecessary abortions. Many women try to justify abortion with word play…by saying that it’s a “fetus” vs. “Baby” but the truth is… it’s a baby from time of conception and have a live heartbeat in as early as 8 weeks into the pregnancy.
